Richard is a retired lawyer who spent many years in private practice then finished his career as General Counsel to the Florida Public Service Commission.  Richard is a graduate of the University of Florida (1968) with a B.A. in Psychology and of the University of Michigan (1975) with a Juris Doctor degree, magna cum laude (1975).  From 1970-1972 he served as a Chinese linguist with the U.S. Air Force's 6990th Security Group stationed at Kadena Air Base in Okinawa.  Richard was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida where his father published a weekly newspaper, the Chronicle.

Carol is a homemaker in Tallahassee and an avid quilter, photographer and crossword puzzle solver.  She's also a good person to have on your Trivial Pursuit team.  Carol is a graduate of the University of Florida (1968) with a B.S. in Library Science.  Carol accompanied Richard on his assignment to Okinawa and worked as Librarian for the Technical Services Library at the Army's Fort Buckner.  Carol was born and raised near Homestead, where her father grew pole beans and other crops.

David is a Software Engineer with Verizon Data Services in Tampa, Florida.  David is a graduate of the University of Florida (1994) with a degree in Computer Engineering.  David is married to Marina Pais, who holds both undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Florida.  They have three children, Tessa, Zachary and Leo.

Christy is an actress who works in the university library system at the University of Florida in Gainesville.  Her varied interests include improvisational acting, writing, and anime. Christy is a graduate of the University of Florida with a B.A. in Theatre and is working to complete her M.S. in Information Science from Florida State Univeristy. She maintains a web site at Crushed Muffin.  She is married to Toby Shorey, who holds a Masters degree from the University of Florida and is currently working in the Registrar's Office. Christy and Toby both hold black belts in Choi Kuang Do, a Korean martial art.
